Plan a Field Trip in 5 Easy Steps
It's easy and fun to plan
a field trip for our group to participate in. Here's how:
1. Think
about somewhere you want to go, something special to see, activity
to try, exhibits or tours coming through town, etc. Anything that
interests you, probably will interest others.
2. Call and find out
the details like fees, how many people to qualify for reduced rates,
what the best time is, what do they offer groups, are reservations
needed, etc.
4. Watch
for emails so you can get a head count and answer questions or
give more information if needed.
5. That's it. Decide on a meeting
place and welcome the group to a fun and enjoyable activity.

Sept.
29th, 2005 - Ross's Landing Field Trip -
An extension field trip on
the Cherokee lesson that the Chattanooga Regional History Museum presented
on Sept. 8th. We will meet at Ross's Landing Riverfront Park

John Ross, the significance of the Landing and Moccasin Bend. Bring
a picnic lunch to eat at the landing area. We will then walk over
to the Passage - a water stairway that commemorates Cherokee culture
and the tribe's forced removal on the Trail of Tears. We will meet
in the parking lot of Winn-Dixie in Collegedale at 10am if you want
to follow me to Ross's Landing parking lot downtown. Parking and park
area is free.
