My name is Heather H.
We have 2 sons, Blake
7 and Pierce 4.
We've been home schooling for 2yrs.
I have
many things that I love about Home schooling, I keep a list of reasons
why I H.S. But the most important reason I love home schooling is
because of the time I get to have my children with me so that I can
train them everyday in the truly important things for this life and
after. I am also really enjoying learning things right along with
the boys that I didn't get to growing up or that I had forgotten.
The thing that I hate about Home schooling is all the teaching material
that is out there to choose from, it's hard to pick from it all but
that is also one of my favorite things so I'm not sure that really
counts.
Aside from being a homemaker and home schooling mother,
I am a preacher’s wife and I stay very busy with the work of the church.
Our dogs name is Darko and he always smells like a skunk.
My
favorite color is purple.
Our home school style is a mix of using
living books for Lit. and History and other subjects but also using
workbooks for math and phonics, spelling and experiments and reading
for science.
I really like having a schedule. I think the boys
like having one also but because of the nature of my husbands "job"
we keep a loose schedule and don't get upset if the schedule is interrupted.
