It's that time of year again! Collegedale Area Homeschoolers will be having our 3rd annual "New-2-You" Curriculum Fair on Thursday, May 18th, from 9am to 1pm.

 

Not only is this a great way to sell last years curriculum and put a little money in your pocket, but it is the yearly fundraiser for Collegedale Area Homeschoolers. We hope to put a little money in our pockets too! In addition to all the used curriculum, the cake walk, bake sale, face painting, and door prizes will be back as well. And admission is still FREE!

 

We have taken your suggestions from the surveys last year and have made the "New-2-You" Curriculum Fair even better this year! Here are just a few of your wonderful comments:

• It was very well organized with a diverse mixture of curriculum to choose from.
• The extra activities kept it from being boring.
• A good variety of choices, great selection, and good prices.
• It was more than I anticipated. It was all so good.
• I liked the fun activities for the kids.
• This was very well run and organized. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
• Turnout was great! My sales were wonderful!

The number one complaint, however, was not enough room between the tables and aisles so we are rectifying that situation by moving to a new location. We are very excited about this change! Because we have outgrown our current facility, we have arranged to use the Iles P.E. Center, located on the campus of Southern Adventist University. This is only a few minutes away from the location last year and is very easy to find. Here are just a few of the benefits of moving to this new location:

• IT'S HUGE! - This area is several times larger than the space we had last year. This will allow us to have better traffic flow and nice wide aisles for all you shoppers!
• TABLES GALORE - We have contracted with the Service Department of Southern to provide us with tables. Not only will they have all the tables we need, they also provide setup and takedown.
• PLENTY OF PARKING - The parking lot beside Iles P.E. Center will provide plenty of parking close to the building for both buyers and sellers.
• EASY TO FIND - If you are familiar with Southern Adventist University at all, you will know right where the Iles P.E. Center is located. If not, don't worry! Directions are easy and the building is on the main road in a central location. (Directions are given below at the bottom of this email.)

Hurry now to reserve the best table spots! The first ones who get their money and application back to me, will get the tables on the end of the aisles, front rows and closest to the entrance. After that, it will be on a first come, first serve basis so don't delay.

 

Rental prices are $15 per table. If you feel that $15 is too much for your budget, don't despair! Rent half a table! You may split the cost of the rental and table with a friend (or) I will be keeping a running list of people who want to rent half a table and I will pair you up with someone. However, almost all of the sellers last year said they recouped their table cost and a whole lot more!

 

If you are a direct marketing consultant, like Pampered Chef, Discovery Toys, Usborne Books, etc. this is an inexpensive way to get some good exposure and possible business contacts through the rental of a table or an ad in our program. However, we only allow one representative from each of these businesses so be sure to get your application in quickly. Traditionally, these spots go fast.
