Why do you have an "interview process" and what does that
mean?
We will be accepting CHE applications through the year. Most
likely a phone interview will be acceptable. Call (423) 396-9488 for
more information.
The interview process just means that we want
to meet you. This is a safety measure for you and your children. Since
all CHE members will be working together to build community and share
responsibilities, we felt it was important to meet new applicants
and learn a little about their background before they began working
closely with your children. Even in Christian circles, we cannot
be too careful.
It is not about being difficult or about
declining some families and taking others. It is about safety for
all families that participate in CHE. At times, phone consultations may
even be acceptable instead of a face-to-face interview.
The
"interview" is also a great opportunity for you! It gives you
a chance to ask questions, meet us and find out
what we are all about. We want you to feel safe and comfortable
as a CHE member.
