What are the membership requirements and how do I join?

Requirements to join CHE:
• Membership requires a $70 yearly family member fee. This enrolls all of your children. It can be divided into two payments if necessary. A limited number of scholarships will be available for those who have a financial need.
• Every parent is required to participate in some way. Membership requires commitment to one team of their choice (more if they want)
• Membership requires commitment to being a part of the Club Day by teaching, assisting the teacher, or whatever is agreed upon with your team lead.
• Membership is a family membership, you cannot only "enroll" one child.
• There will be an interview process before membership is offered. This is just a quick chance for us to meet you and your children before you commit to CHE.
• Commitment means that you give back to the organization your gifts and talents. Examples:
Organizing a field trip, Organizing a service project, Organizing a social activity, Organizing or helping with a club, Organizingor helping with a graduation ceremony, Organizing a project or idea. (newsletter, yearbook, field day, etc.), Teaching or assisting the teacher, substitute for the teacher, Helping pepare class or club materials, Help financially if the need arises or donate supplies, Volunteering for child care and other things that you are good at.
• Membership can be rescinded
• Membership fee is not prorated
• No refund for lack of use
• Membership cards will given for ID purposes and for area merchant discounts
• Code of Conduct expected
Process for joining CHE:
1) Print out an application that can be found here: Application for The Center for Homeschool Excellence
2) Mail it to Angie Lippard, 4319B Katy Kim Lane, Ooltewah, TN 37363
3) You will be invited to a quick, friendly interview and then your application will be reviewed by the Leadership Team
4) You will be notified by email or phone about your membership status. The membership fee of $70 will be due at that time. (Two seperate payments of $35 can be arranged.)
 
We will be accepting membership applications through the month of August and would like to have Kickoff and Club Registration Day in September. We can't wait to hear from you!
